The 11th edition of the annual 'Camel Trek' in the UAE is currently in progress. A total of 33 trekkers from 17 different countries have embarked on a 680-km journey across the desert in the Emirates.

Starting from Arada in the 'Empty Quarter' in Abu Dhabi, the trekkers are set to arrive at their final destination in the Global Village on December 21. Over the course of 13 days, they will traverse the desert sands on camels, facing new challenges and thrilling adventures, all while experiencing a way of life reminiscent of the Bedouin traditions.

The camel caravan is led by Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre (HHC), who expressed his satisfaction with the high number of participants and the diverse range of nationalities involved in this year's trek. This annual event not only promotes the UAE's rich cultural heritage but also embodies the values of tolerance, endurance, and camaraderie.
