The eagerly awaited 13th Annual Sikh Awards will be held in Dubai on Saturday, December 14, 2024, making it the second time this esteemed event is hosted in the UAE. Taking place at the H Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, the event is expected to draw over 400 prominent guests, including international dignitaries, community leaders, sports icons, celebrities, and business leaders from countries such as India, Canada, Kenya, the UK, the USA, and the UAE. This gathering underscores the Sikh community’s global reach and honors individuals who exemplify the values of service, equality, and resilience.

The Sikh Awards not only spotlight the exceptional contributions of Sikhs worldwide, recognizing their accomplishments in categories such as business, charity, education, profession, media, seva (Selfless Voluntary Service), sports, and entertainment, but also acknowledge individuals who share the same humanitarian and success values regardless of their background, caste, or creed. Special honors at the event will include the People's Choice Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Special Recognition Award, celebrating those who have made a significant impact on society. Recipients hail from continents including Asia, North America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East, highlighting the diverse and impactful roles Sikhs play globally.

Dr. Navdeep Singh Bansal, founder of The Sikh Awards, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming event, stating: “Hosting the Sikh Awards again in the UAE reflects the strong bond we share with this community. Over the past 13 years, these awards have honored individuals whose professional and philanthropic efforts have been transformative, and we are proud to showcase their achievements on this global platform.” Dr. Harmeek Singh, CEO and Chairman of the Plan B Group and a long-time supporter of The Sikh Awards, emphasized the significance of the event, saying: “The Sikh Awards uniquely celebrate our community on a global scale. The positive response we received in 2020, when the event was first held in Dubai, reinforces our dedication to highlighting these remarkable accomplishments. This year, we look forward to welcoming global winners and guests to once again honor the spirit of the Sikh community.”

The Sikh community’s contributions are vast, ranging from managing langars (community kitchens) that feed millions to supporting education, environmental initiatives, and humanitarian efforts worldwide. Sikhs continue to enrich societies in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and beyond, fostering inclusivity and cross-cultural unity.
