For 2025, the third-generation Acura RDX receives minor cosmetic updates both inside and out, making the changes difficult to discern. This marks the crossover's second refresh since its initial launch in 2018, with the first update occurring in 2022. The 2025 RDX features a new "Frameless" Diamond Pentagon grille with a revamped mesh design and a narrower bezel. Standard gloss-black accents are complemented by new 19-inch Berlina Black wheels. It introduces three fresh color options: Solar Silver Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and Urban Gray Pearl, also offered on the 2025 MDX.
The RDX equipped with the Advance Package boasts body-color lower exterior trim and 19-inch multi-spoke wheels finished in Berlina Black. A-Spec models undergo a more pronounced black-out styling treatment, along with 20-inch wheels and distinctive badging. The standard RDX A-Spec model is fitted with new 10-spoke Shark Gray wheels, while the A-Spec Advance variant features exclusive 20-inch wheels with a Berlina Black finish.
Acura has redesigned the RDX's center console, relocating and enlarging the cup holders to make room for the wireless charging pad, previously housed in the under-console compartment. The standard 10.2-inch center infotainment display now includes a widescreen mode for enhanced wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. RDX models with the Advance Package gain additional luxury features such as full-leather seating, new ambient lighting for the center console, and illuminated door speakers.
The updated RDX retains the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering the same 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with Acura's 10-speed automatic transmission and the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system, which is standard across the lineup. The 2025 RDX is set to arrive at US dealerships later this month. While Acura has not disclosed pricing for the new model, the 2024 RDX started at $45,700, with the A-Spec model at $51,350 and the A-Spec Advance at $55,500. It is anticipated that the 2025 model will see only a modest price increase.
