It's easy to overlook the fact that the 2025 Corvette Z06 boasts an 8,600 RPM flat-plane crank V-8, and you can simply purchase one from your local Chevy dealer. Even if you can't afford the $113,795 price tag, you can still explore the configurator to ponder some enticing possibilities. This is particularly true considering that America's sports car has never been more customizable. What truly got us excited—and why you can put that spreadsheet on hold—is the Z06's new color: Hysteria Purple Metallic. This deep purple shade looks fantastic paired with the car's bronze alloy wheels, and it doesn't cost a penny extra. The bronze wheels also enhance many of the standard colors, such as Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat ($995). The color is essentially a flat gray, but with the addition of bronze, it appears more like a deliberate color choice rather than just a safe exterior hue. Unfortunately, you can't get the flat-green Cacti color on the Z06, although it is available on the similarly priced E-Ray, which is frustrating. You also can't have a brown Z06 anymore. Turns out, not many people want a brown Corvette. The visible carbon fiber wheels will cost you nearly $14,000, but honestly, it's hard to find a color they complement anyway. The basic five-spoke design on the Z06 is noticeably inferior to the new style seen on the ZR1. A black-on-black car with dark grey brake calipers at least blends everything together. Oddly, the more expensive you make a C8 Z06, the uglier it tends to get. The Carbon wheels are the most expensive and, as mentioned, don't look great. Similarly, the most expensive version of those wheels has a red accent along the rim, which I personally have never liked. Those red-accent wheels alone cost $15,500. I decided to put them on a red/black car, The Gamer Spec, which costs around $185,000. The base price of a 2025 Z06, for reference, is $127,345. Ultimately, the best combination is what you desire, and with all the various Corvette trims, there's bound to be something you'll like. If you haven't found it yet, well, we have a strong hunch that at least one more trim is on the way, so just wait and see what the Zora has in store when it arrives. So, head over to Chevy's Z06 configurator and indulge in some daydreaming.
