If the moniker Ivan "Ironman" Stewart resonates with you, Toyota has a pickup truck tailored just for you. The new 2025 Tundra TRD Rally pays homage to Toyota's triumphant history in Baja rallying. Although it's not positioned as a direct competitor to the F-150 Raptor, it still exudes a certain coolness. Toyota's TRD red-orange-yellow decals seem to infuse any vehicle they adorn with a touch of cool. Essentially, this iteration is based on the Tundra TRD Off-Road, featuring all-terrain tires, skid plates, a locking rear differential, Bilstein dampers, and Toyota's comprehensive suite of off-road electronics.

The standard TRD Off-Road 18-inch wheels now sport new center caps in TRD red-orange-yellow, and these vibrant accents extend into the cabin. These are commendable enhancements. Similar to the standard TRD Off-Road, the TRD Rally is exclusively powered by the Tundra's base twin-turbo V-6, excluding the hybrid variant. It is also not offered on the rear-wheel drive Tundra. Other minor yet practical updates for the 2025 Tundra include a fully powered tailgate, a wireless tow camera system, and standard massaging seats for the luxurious 1794, Platinum, and Capstone trims.

The TRD Pro introduces a new exclusive color, Mudbath, a non-metallic beige that made its debut on the new 4Runner. The mechanically akin Sequoia SUV receives comparable upgrades, along with the addition of the 1794 trim. Toyota has yet to disclose pricing for the TRD Rally, but it's anticipated to align with the current TRD Off-Road. For the 2024 model year, the TRD Off-Road package adds $2,295 to crew-cab Tundra SR5 4x4s and $2,450 to double-cabs. Here's hoping Toyota extends a similar offering to the more compact and affordable Tacoma.
