A 27-metre Canados yacht named Manta has sunk off the coast of Corsica, France, after hitting a shallow reef and taking on water. The local coastguard reported that 11 people were rescued. The incident occurred on August 15 at 6:33 am local time and involved a first response team of 17 people, including three divers and one medical assistant. Upon arrival, the team found that the 11 passengers had already evacuated and were safely transferred to rescue RIBs, then brought back to shore at Propriano in Corsica.
