A 3.6-magnitude earthquake hit the area south of Ma'in in the Dead Sea region of Jordan, according to a report from the Jordanian state news agency (Petra). The earthquake occurred late Sunday and was felt by local residents, as confirmed by a statement from the Jordan Seismological Observatory. The observatory also reported that the quake took place at a depth of 9 km.
