A 5.4 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck various regions of Pakistan, encompassing Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), as reported by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on Thursday morning.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) verified that tremors were experienced in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Swabi, Mardan, and neighboring areas, as per private news channels. The earthquake's depth was recorded at 215 km, with its epicenter located in the Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan, according to the Meteorological Department.
