A case involving the alleged sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl in South Delhi has been reported, as confirmed by the Delhi Police on Saturday.
Police officials stated that the girl's parents reside in a rented accommodation owned by a 72-year-old man named Gian Messay, who is accused of the assault. The girl disclosed to her parents that the man would take advantage of their absence to assault her. It is alleged that this abuse had been ongoing for a month prior to the parents being informed. Following this revelation, they promptly filed a police complaint.
A medical examination was conducted on the child, and the accused has since been arrested. Delhi Police officials noted that the girl's father is a laborer, and her mother is a homemaker. The investigation is currently underway, with further details expected to emerge.
