Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Dubai's DIFC, The Artisan presents a sophisticated dining journey that blends elegance, authenticity, and a hint of European allure. This review delves into my recent experience at this Italian gem.
Upon entering The Artisan, the lively ambiance immediately envelops you with positive energy, ideal for a midday rendezvous. The warm interiors, adorned with unique art pieces ranging from local to internationally acclaimed artists, create a timeless yet contemporary atmosphere. The exceptional beverage bar, with its subtle European flair, adds an extra layer of elegance to the venue. The Artisan's decor and ambiance effortlessly whisk guests away to the idyllic landscapes of Italy.
The service at The Artisan was notably friendly and welcoming, significantly enhancing the dining experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, making us feel like esteemed guests.
Our culinary journey commenced with the Carpaccio Di Manzo and the popular Burratina. The Carpaccio Di Manzo featured thinly sliced Fassona beef adorned with Taggiasca olives, capers, sun-dried tomatoes, and a 24-month-old Parmigiano Reggiano fondue. The harmonious blend of flavors set a high standard for the rest of the meal. The Burratina, a creamy Apulian Burrata dressed with sweet tomato, basil, and red onion salad, complemented by a splash of Amalfi lemon dressing, provided a refreshing start that we thoroughly savored.
For the main course, I chose the homemade Tagliatelle Al Limone Di Amalfi. The fresh Tagliatelle, infused with Amalfi lemon, burrata, and pink pepper, offered a delightful balance of zest and creaminess. My companion opted for the Pollo E Spinaci, a generously stuffed chicken with spinach and 24-month-old Parmigiano Reggiano, served with sweet potato puree and red cabbage. The dish was tender and satisfying, a true reflection of the chef's skill.
We concluded our meal with the Torta al Formaggio, a creamy cherry cheesecake paired with tangy yoghurt ice cream. This dessert left a lasting impression, perfectly concluding our dining experience.
Situated within the opulent Waldorf Astoria in DIFC, The Artisan is an excellent choice for a business lunch.
