Authorities in Abu Dhabi closed down two restaurants due to numerous violations affecting public health and safety. Bangla Snack Restaurant and Darbar Express Restaurant, situated in the Industrial junction of the emirate, were shuttered by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.
The closure followed the discovery that these establishments were persistently serving high-risk food items in contravention of food safety regulations. Additionally, there was a lack of temperature control during food presentation. The restaurants also failed to adhere to hygiene standards by neglecting to maintain clean floors and surfaces and by handling food without the appropriate protective attire such as headbands and gloves.
