A food trading company in Abu Dhabi has been ordered to cease operations due to safety concerns, according to authorities on Wednesday.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) has shut down the Itiyadi Foodstuff Trading company located in the Musaffah industrial area for violating food safety standards. Adafsa stated that the company's practices were deemed to pose a "significant risk" to public health.
The authority conducts regular inspections of establishments throughout the emirate to ensure compliance with regulations designed to safeguard residents' health and safety. These inspections extend to not only stores but also restaurants and cafes.
