The Abu Dhabi Junior League (ADJL) has opened registration for teams keen on participating in its eagerly awaited second season, set to commence on September 29 at the Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub (ADCSH). This upcoming season features a revamped structure, with 15 weeks of play scheduled and culminating in a new Grand Finals day on February 23, 2025. Teams of all boys and girls aged Under-8 to Under-14 are encouraged to register.
Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, expressed, "We were highly impressed by the inaugural season of the Abu Dhabi Junior League, and we at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council were immensely proud to introduce the emirate's first weekly girls-focused 'Warriors' league." He continued, "In collaboration with our partners at the Abu Dhabi Junior League and the Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub, we are excited to elevate the League to new heights, while steadfastly maintaining our community-first approach and ensuring access to competitive and enjoyable football for all children on a weekly basis."
Basheer Saeed, a legendary figure in UAE football and Tournament Director of the ADJL, remarked: "Football has been my lifelong passion since I was five, and I am eager to share my expertise and motivate the future stars of the UAE. Providing a player-centric weekly league that is accessible to every club in the UAE is crucial for young players to relish the sport, appreciate the value of teamwork, and further develop their skills."
