Abu Dhabi Police's robotic units are now on the streets to educate the public on traffic regulations and enhance safety consciousness. The police have also set up a driving simulator that employs virtual reality, allowing residents to participate in an experience that closely replicates the actual driving mechanisms, such as braking and steering. This simulator will also showcase digital awareness videos on a rear-view screen, utilizing CGI technology.
As schools are in session, the digital traffic patrol will include home visits and instructions directed at private drivers, domestic workers, parents, and other community members on the proper ways to manage children inside vehicles and on the road. These initiatives are part of the digital patrol aimed at encouraging compliance with rules and regulations among drivers, families, students, and various road users.
Through this campaign, the police will organize lectures, offer gifts, and distribute brochures. Major Ahmed Abdullah Al-Mhairi, Director of the Digital Traffic Awareness Project, stated that the Digital Traffic Education Patrol is part of continuous efforts to provide innovative proactive services that align with both governmental and future trends in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
