The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police and Saaed Traffic Systems Company have encouraged drivers to utilize the Saaed Smart app for reporting minor accidents in the UAE capital, rather than dialing the emergency number 999. The app will be functional starting Thursday, August 1.
The authority emphasized the necessity of relocating the vehicles involved in an accident to a secure area to prevent traffic congestion. Abu Dhabi Police also noted that halting in the roadway without a valid reason constitutes a traffic offense, subject to a Dh1,000 fine and six black points. Drivers can obtain an accident report for minor incidents directly through the app by following straightforward steps to input the necessary data.
Users can identify the accident location using an interactive map, submit details and images of the damages, and receive instant confirmation and the accident report through smart notifications. The process involves accessing the app, selecting the accident reporting service, entering a phone number for location identification, choosing the accident type, and uploading photos of the vehicle registration, driver's license, and damage details. Confirming all information related to the incident and involved parties completes the request, and a unique request number is provided to the motorist.
