Abu Dhabi is preparing for the grand finale of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which will take place at Mubadala Arena in Zayed Sports City from December 13 to 15. As the fifth and final round approaches, excitement is mounting as fans eagerly await the crowning of champions in both the Gi and No-Gi categories.
The championship's inaugural edition has showcased thrilling competitions among the nation's top clubs and academies, with athletes delivering exceptional performances across all divisions. A total prize pool of Dh 1.5 million is up for grabs, providing additional motivation for the competitors. This final round marks the culmination of months of intense competition and hard work, solidifying the championship's role as a platform for athletes to excel and achieve greatness.
Based on the results of the previous four rounds, Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club leads the overall standings in the Gi category, closely followed by Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club and Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club. The narrow points difference between the top three clubs adds to the anticipation of the final showdown.
Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted that the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship embodies the vision and unwavering support of the UAE's leadership for the sport. He emphasized that the championship's success underscores the leadership's commitment to jiu-jitsu, which has become a cornerstone of the nation's sports culture.
"The championship's remarkable achievements throughout its rounds reflect the vision of our wise leadership for jiu-jitsu.
