Senior citizens and residents in Abu Dhabi, aged 60 or older, can benefit from the Barkitna card. This card offers services across various sectors, including government, semi-government, and private sectors. Alongside the Barkitna card, the Fazaa card will also be issued to provide senior residents and citizens with discounts and special offers in the private sector.
Senior citizens and residents can apply for these cards through the TAMM website using only their Emirates ID and the online registration form. The Barkitna card ensures priority services for senior citizens and residents across different government entities in Abu Dhabi, such as separate counters, valet parking, medical assistance, free sports consultations, and more, provided by the relevant departments.
With the Barkitna and Fazaa cards, both senior Emiratis and senior residents can avail of various offers. Some offers are exclusive to UAE citizens, while others are available to all residents. Benefits include discounts and special offers such as exemption from toll fees for one vehicle registered in the applicant's name, free transportation within Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra (via the Emirati and Muqeem bus card), discounts on various packages with telecom operators like Etisalat and du, priority check-in with Air Arabia, and up to 20% discount on services at select hospitals and healthcare centers.
Please note that the validity duration of these offers may vary.
