Abu Dhabi is set to debut the UAE's first trial vertiport, a venture spearheaded by The Advanced Mobility Hub (AMH), a division of Multi Level Group. In tandem, AMH will conduct the inaugural self-driving drone test at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal in Port Zayed, as part of a collaborative agreement with Abu Dhabi Ports Group. This initiative seeks to pioneer sustainable transportation methods, leveraging E-vtol and autonomous aircraft designed for vertical take-off and landing, accommodating between two to five passengers, alongside logistics services catering to various weight classes.

"This strategic plan is designed to elevate the cruise experience and bolster tourism in the UAE by offering aerial tours to showcase Abu Dhabi's iconic attractions," elucidated Mohamed Salah, CEO of Multi Level Group. "This approach not only enhances tourist stays but also fosters additional eco-friendly activities," he added.

The project, having secured all requisite approvals and compliance from pertinent authorities, enjoys the backing of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council. It marks a pivotal step towards the evolution of advanced mobility solutions, encompassing the deployment and enhancement of essential infrastructure, such as smart transportation networks, ground stations, and autonomous driving technologies. This aligns with the emirate's broader vision of exporting advanced technology sectors, including autonomous drones.

Noura Rashed Al Dhaheri, CEO of Cruise Business at AD Ports Group, emphasized: "We are committed to delivering unparalleled, eco-conscious experiences to our patrons as we champion sustainability. With cutting-edge technology opening new vistas for the cruise industry, we are proud to be at the forefront of its development and the expansion of its ancillary services."
