During the first half of 2024, the ACCI's total memberships surged to 19,372, and the number of issued certificates of origin reached 22,693, according to recent data. Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Director of the Member Affairs Department at the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), praised the advancements in the emirate's economic sector and the diligent oversight provided by the leadership. He highlighted that fostering a competitive business environment and driving economic growth are central to Ajman Vision 2030. Additionally, he underscored the ACCI's commitment to realizing the emirate's goals, which include promoting and simplifying investment, fostering a conducive business atmosphere, expanding trade, and nurturing entrepreneurship and SMEs.
Sheikh Hamad also disclosed the list of countries to which Ajman exports, with Iraq and Saudi Arabia leading, followed by Kuwait, Turkey, and Ethiopia, during the first half of 2024. Jamila Kajoor, Director of Member Relations and Support at the ACCI, noted a 4% increase in ACCI memberships during the first half of the year, with industrial establishments growing from 770 to 800 memberships compared to the same period in 2023. This growth underscores the industrial sector's development and Ajman's appeal as a hub for industrial investments and a sustainable environment for industrial operations.
Kajoor further emphasized the ACCI's goal to expand industrial memberships and directly contribute to the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology. This strategy aims to attract industrial investments, boost the competitiveness of national industries, encourage innovation, and promote the adoption of innovative solutions and AI in the industrial sector to enhance production, develop local products, and explore new international markets.
