Indian actor Noor Malabika Das was discovered deceased in her Andheri, Mumbai apartment, according to police reports on Monday, with indications pointing towards suicide. The actor, known for her roles in various web series, was found in a decomposed state at her residence in the Oshiwara district. Das had co-starred with Kajol in the 2023 legal drama 'The Trial' and had earlier served as an air hostess before her acting career. On June 8, residents of her neighborhood reported a strong odor emanating from her home, prompting a police visit and subsequent removal of the body for an autopsy. The Oshiwara Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and are continuing their investigation. The All Indian Cine Workers Association has expressed concern over the frequent reports of suicides in Bollywood and the wider Indian film industry, urging the Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter. The Association emphasized the need for the investigation to also explore the possibility of foul play and consider a potential murder angle.
