Singer Adele has revealed that she plans to shift her focus away from music and explore other creative endeavors for the time being, as reported by People. "I currently have no plans for new music," Adele stated. "I'm looking forward to a significant break and I believe I want to engage in other creative activities, just for a little while." She further expressed, "I don't enjoy being famous. However, I cherish the fact that I get to create music constantly."
Adele has historically taken considerable time between album releases. Her career milestones include her debut album '19' in 2008, followed by '21' in 2011, '25' in 2015, and most recently, '30' in 2021. In a December 2023 interview, Adele mentioned that she hadn't contemplated new music yet. "I need to wait for a creative spark," she explained. "When I feel restless, that's when I know it's time to head to the studio, but right now, I'm completely at ease."
Discussing potential other creative projects, Adele disclosed her interest in a specific movie role, but noted that the director, "who would be ideal for the project, isn't yet prepared to write the script." "That's the only role I've ever truly wanted," she affirmed. "I believe I could excel in it. I think I'd perform exceptionally well."
Adele is scheduled to perform a series of concerts in Germany at the Munich Messe Arena from August 2 to August 24, an announcement she made on Instagram in January. "I haven't performed in Europe since 2016! I can't imagine a better way to conclude this wonderful chapter of my life and career with shows near home during such a thrilling summer," Adele wrote in her post, according to People.
