Adele is currently dealing with partial hearing loss following a severe ear infection. The 36-year-old singer, known for her hit song 'Easy On Me,' shared with the audience at her Las Vegas concert on Friday that the temporary pain from the infection has been the most excruciating experience she has ever had—even surpassing childbirth. 'I actually have an ear infection, which is actually pretty grim. I've never had an ear infection before,' she told fans last week, according to The Sun. 'It is the most painful thing that ever, ever happened to me in my life. It was worse than childbirth.'
The 16-time Grammy winner revealed that she contracted a 'rare water bacteria' during her ten-date residency in Munich, Germany this summer. 'It is hard to treat, so I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days,' she recalled, adding that the pain was so intense that she felt like 'chopping my ear off.' 'They managed to give me one that started to work. I'm no longer in pain, which is great, [but] I'm a bit deaf in my left ear,' she added.
Despite the discomfort, Adele was determined not to miss her show. 'There was no way I would miss this f–king show'—no matter how bad the pain was. The Post has reached out to Adele’s reps for comment. This is not the first time the mother of one has suffered from a painful infection. In 2013, Adele disclosed that after performing under the hot lights at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, she developed a fungal skin infection. 'It is a bit crude but I never knew it existed,' she said at the time. 'Obviously when I do my shows I wear Spanx and keep it all in and make it all fit me.' 'And I sweat a lot and it doesn't go anywhere. So basically I just sit in my own sweat,' she added.
Adele's health concerns come after she was moved to tears upon spotting Celine Dion at her concert last week. According to a video posted to X, the British pop star was mingling with the crowd while singing her 2015 hit 'When We Were Young' when she encountered Dion. Adele immediately stopped singing and was visibly emotional as she hugged the 56-year-old 'My Heart Will Go On' songstress, who was seated with her 14-year-old twin sons, Nelson and Eddy. The crowd cheered as the two music icons embraced, both crying and exchanging a few words. Dion tenderly held Adele's hand to her face and kissed it before they parted ways.
