This weekend, witness the splendor of Emirati culture and heritage at the eagerly awaited Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX). Attendees can immerse themselves in the historical battles of the Ottoman Empire through equestrian archery, delight in falcon and saluki beauty contests, and admire the finest hunting knives and rifles. The 21st edition, the largest yet, promises a grand tribute to the cherished traditions of hunting and equestrianism.

Running from August 31 for nine days, the exhibition will host over 1,700 exhibitors, 435 local companies, and participants from 65 countries, showcasing innovative products across 11 sectors. Visitors can delve into local culture, witness gymnastics and dance on moving horses, and enjoy traditional performances that highlight the UAE’s rich heritage. Exciting shooting competitions and other events will showcase the special bond between horse and handler.

Attendees can also learn about the history of Arabian horses, enjoy pony rides, and marvel at daring stunts and multi-horse-riding techniques. Highlights include the falcon beauty contest featuring chicks up to a year old, the Arabian Saluki beauty contest, and competitions showcasing the elegance and unique traits of the Arabian horse. Over the past 20 years, the exhibition has drawn thousands of residents and tourists with its packed schedule of thrilling events and live demonstrations.

The popular falcon auction will be held at the main arena, with bidders able to participate online for the first time, viewing premium falcons in a special area. Additionally, an exhibition badge will be introduced for participating falcons. Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Falconers Club, highlighted the exhibition’s role in promoting Arab heritage and authentic traditions, aiming to present a diverse and rich event.

Notably, the fourth edition of the Gymkhana for People of Determination will feature contestants navigating an obstacle course to demonstrate their horsemanship skills and promote cognitive development. Exhibitors can compete for the best stand design based on sustainable materials and creativity, and the title of the most unique product exhibited. The exhibition celebrates an adventurous outdoor lifestyle, promotes arts and crafts, and features advanced fishing gear, including eco-friendly equipment and cutting-edge technology. It also serves as a networking platform to learn about the latest industry developments and innovations.

The nine-day exhibition will take place at the ADNEC until September 8.
