Ahmed Khizer Khan, CEO of Daman Investments, reflects on his enriching experiences working in both Pakistan and the UAE, considering both countries his home. Khan's career spans over three decades, starting with a degree in Economics from Bucknell University and an MBA from Rutgers University. He began his career at PWC in the United States, followed by a significant tenure at Charles Schwab as Vice President of Consulting and Audit. In 1997, he joined Citibank, where he held various roles across Europe and Asia, culminating in key positions such as Chief Operating Officer for Central Europe and Country Manager and CEO for Pakistan.

In 2006, Khan moved to Barclays Global Retail and Commercial Bank as Chief Executive of Emerging Markets, overseeing operations in 15 countries. Later, he joined the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector in Jeddah as COO and Director of Coverage, Partnerships, and Syndication. In 2016, he took on his role at Daman Investments, achieving over 100% growth in profitability and executing one of the largest leveraged buyouts among family-owned entities in the UAE.

Khan also participates in the Gargash Group Family Office, one of the largest business conglomerates in the UAE. He attributes the UAE's economic success to visionary leadership, strategic location, tax-efficient and business-friendly environment, investments in infrastructure, and strong focus on innovation. He advises young graduates to embrace continuous learning, adaptability, and build strong networks, emphasizing the need to develop a global perspective.

Khan's life in the UAE has been fulfilling both professionally and personally, contributing to both his personal and collective success. He maintains a balance between work and family life through engaging in sports and spending time with his family.
