An Air Europa Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner was forced to make an emergency landing in Brazil on Monday following a flight from Madrid to Montevideo, where several passengers were injured due to severe turbulence, according to the airline.
Flight UX045, operated by the Spanish carrier, was rerouted to Natal's airport in northeastern Brazil while en route to the capital of Uruguay. The airline confirmed on X that those injured are currently being attended to.
