An Air India flight, AI 657, landed at Thiruvananthapuram Airport on Thursday following a reported bomb threat. The airport authorities have declared a full emergency.
The aircraft has been isolated in the bay area, and passengers are set to be evacuated shortly, according to the airport officials. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport issued a statement confirming that AI 657, which was en route from BOM to TRV, received a bomb threat at 7:30 AM local time on August 22, 2024. A full emergency was declared at 7:36 AM, and the plane landed safely and was moved to the isolation bay where the evacuation process is currently underway. There have been no casualties, and airport operations remain unaffected.
