An Air India flight en route from Mumbai to New York was rerouted to Delhi on Monday due to a bomb threat, as reported by ANI. The Delhi Police confirmed that the aircraft is now at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, where all standard safety measures are being implemented to guarantee the well-being of passengers and crew.

Flight AI119, originally bound for JFK airport on October 14, was diverted to Delhi after receiving 'a specific security alert and following instructions from the government's security regulatory committee,' according to an Air India spokesperson. All passengers have since disembarked and are at the Delhi airport terminal.

In a separate incident later that day, two IndiGo flights received bomb threats and were directed to an isolated bay. Both planes were scheduled to depart from Mumbai; one (flight 6E 1275) was headed to Muscat, and the other (flight 6E 56) to Jeddah. An IndiGo spokesperson stated that 'following the standard operating procedure, mandatory security checks were promptly initiated.'
