An Air India flight carrying 189 passengers received a bomb threat via email and landed in Jaipur, according to Indian police on Saturday. Flight IX-196 was en route from Dubai to Jaipur when it landed at Jaipur International Airport at 1:20 AM. "After a comprehensive check by security forces, no suspicious items were discovered," the police stated.

This incident occurs amid heightened alertness by India's aviation authorities following a series of hoax bomb threats that have disrupted multiple flights in recent days. Over a dozen fake bomb threats were reported this week against flights operated by various Indian airlines, prompting both government and civil aviation authorities to issue a stern warning that "very strict action" will be taken against those responsible.
