AJet, Türkiye's rapidly expanding airline, has unveiled new routes to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, marking another step in its network growth. Starting from October 1, 2024, AJet will operate flights from Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina, and Dammam in Saudi Arabia, along with services to the Egyptian resort cities of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
Unlike its parent company Turkish Airlines, AJet is dedicated to offering budget-friendly, no-frills air travel, efficiently connecting popular tourist and commercial centers. By focusing on strategic destinations with reduced overheads, AJet ensures a straightforward travel experience for price-sensitive passengers.
Kerem Sarp, AJet's general manager, highlighted the airline's unique selling point: "We are committed to providing affordable travel while strengthening our presence in vital regions. These new routes will link Türkiye with significant destinations, offering both business and leisure travelers enhanced flexibility and accessibility."
Flights to Jeddah commenced on October 1, followed by services to Riyadh, Medina, and Dammam the next day. These routes not only underscore Türkiye's strong cultural and commercial bonds with Saudi Arabia but also facilitate religious travel, offering easy access to the sacred cities of Mecca and Medina.
In Egypt, AJet expanded its network just two months after launching flights to Cairo, introducing five weekly flights to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada starting from October 1, 2024. These routes are anticipated to serve European and Turkish tourists visiting Egypt's renowned Red Sea resorts, providing a cost-effective option to explore these highly popular destinations.
With these new additions, AJet now connects 95 destinations across 32 countries, continuing its swift expansion. The airline operates with a modern, streamlined fleet, prioritizing safe and comfortable travel.
