On Friday, Ajman announced flexible work timings for certain government employees as schools reopen. According to a circular from the Ajman Government's Human Resources Department, parents among the employees will be allowed to arrive late or leave early during the first week of the new academic year. This flexibility is granted to help them accompany their children to and from daycare, kindergarten, or home. However, the total allowed time off is limited to no more than three hours per day.

This move follows a similar announcement by the UAE government on Thursday, which allowed some public sector employees flexible work hours on the first day of school to facilitate picking up and dropping off their children at school.
