Ajman municipality imposed fines of Dh10,000 on each of two companies for illegally transporting landfill. The municipality reported the apprehension of two firms involved in the unauthorized transportation of landfill materials from various locations within the emirate. Additionally, three vehicles associated with these companies were impounded and seized. Ajman municipality, in a social media update, clarified that each company was fined Dh10,000 for repeatedly committing the offense.
Eng. Khaled Mueen Al Hosani, the acting director General of the Department, emphasized the importance of ongoing awareness campaigns and the promotion of a positive culture. He highlighted the detrimental impacts of indiscriminate landfill usage. Al Hosani further stressed the need for systematic management of landfill to guarantee its sustainable use and protection across all areas of the emirate.
