The taxi fare for October in Ajman will be set at Dh1.75 for each kilometre, according to the emirate's transport authority. This represents a 5 fils decrease from the September fare of Dh1.80 per km. This marks the second consecutive month with a drop in the fare per kilometre. Previously, the fare for September had decreased by 3 fils from the August rate of Dh1.83 per km.
This adjustment follows the announcement of fuel prices, which will be effective from October 1. Compared to September, fuel prices have dropped by up to 24 fils per litre. The new rates for October are as follows: Super 98 petrol will cost Dh2.66 a litre, down from Dh2.90 in September. Special 95 petrol will be priced at Dh2.54 per litre, compared to Dh2.78 previously. E-Plus 91 petrol will cost Dh2.47 a litre, a decrease from Dh2.71 in September. Diesel will be charged at Dh2.60 per litre, down from Dh2.78.
Depending on the type of vehicle, filling up a tank of petrol in October will cost between Dh12.24 and Dh17.76 less than in the previous month.
