The Akasa Air flight, en route from India's capital New Delhi to the southern city of Bengaluru, received a security alert, prompting the flight to return as a precaution. Akasa Air confirmed that emergency response teams were closely monitoring the situation, and the captain adhered to all necessary emergency procedures for a safe landing back in Delhi. The flight carried 184 passengers, including three infants, according to the airline. India's civil aviation authorities have yet to provide a response. Local media and airlines have reported at least six other similar threats this week. Singapore dispatched fighter jets on Tuesday to escort an Air India Express plane following an email warning about a potential bomb on board, as stated by the city-state's defence minister. Two F-15 jets were deployed to escort the aircraft away from populated areas before it landed safely at Changi Airport late on Tuesday. Air India also reported on Tuesday that one of its flights from New Delhi to Chicago had to make an emergency landing in Canada due to a security threat posted online. That flight also landed safely. Additionally, India's low-cost operator IndiGo received similar hoaxes this week regarding two flights scheduled to take off for Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Muscat in Oman, according to Indian media.
