Al Ain City has shattered the Guinness World Record for the longest chain of fireworks during the UAE's 53rd National Day celebrations. Organized by the Al Ain City Municipality, the spectacular display stretched over a distance of 11.1 kilometers on December 2, 2024. It took just 50 seconds for the fireworks to set the record, launched from 51 platforms. This marks the second record achieved by the authority in 2024, following the largest bouquet of flowers recorded in February.

We celebrated the 53rd Union Day at Hili Fun City with dazzling fireworks and drone shows.

Meanwhile, Ras Al Khaimah made history on January 1, 2024, by breaking two Guinness World Records as the UAE welcomed the new year. The emirate ushered in 2024 with an eight-minute-long firework and drone display, securing titles for the ‘Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks’ at 5.8 kilometers and the 'Longest straight-line drones display’ at 2 kilometers. Prior to this, in 2023, the emirate had already claimed two Guinness World Records titles with their pyro-musical show. The 12-minute spectacle illuminated the skies and earned them titles for the ‘largest number of operated multi-rotors/drones with a simultaneous fireworks display’ and the ‘largest aerial sentence formed by multi-rotors/drones’, created with 673 drones.
