Alien abductions continue to occur in Los Santos, and if you want to get your hands on a cool weapon, you'll want to be among those abducted. However, players need to act quickly, as these extraterrestrial visitors won't be around forever.
Rockstar Games announced the alien abduction event for this year's Halloween festivities, which runs until November 6. This means the skies over Los Santos remain eerie, and players who manage to survive can earn The Shocker, a non-lethal alien weapon that functions like a stun baton. The challenge, though, is getting abducted in the first place.
First, you should know that the aliens only appear at night, between 10 PM and 4 AM in the game world. Given GTA Online's rapid passage of time, this translates to a mere 12-minute window to locate a UFO and position yourself beneath it. Additionally, your vehicles will malfunction if they get too close to the UFOs, so plan your approach carefully.
If you successfully get abducted, the next challenge is escaping. Players will find themselves locked in a room beneath Fort Zancudo, where The Shocker is located. However, you must escape with your life to keep the weapon. Exiting the room requires deciphering clues within the chamber. Luckily, The Gaming Gorilla has provided a video that details how to escape before a lethal gas seals your fate.
If you miss this year's abduction opportunity, Rockstar is likely to bring back the event by Halloween 2025. But for now, you have until Wednesday, November 6, to complete what might be the spookiest mission in the game so far.
