The physical editions of Alien: Romulus were released today, December 3. There are four different editions available, one of which is a Limited-Edition 4K Blu-ray with a steelbook case priced at $55. If you're interested in this particular edition, it's advisable not to delay your order. Walmart currently has stock ready for immediate shipment, whereas Amazon estimates that orders placed today might take up to two months to arrive. Additionally, Amazon is currently out of stock for the non-steelbook 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and DVD versions. All four editions, however, are available at Walmart and can be shipped immediately.
If steelbook cases aren't a priority, the best deal is the 4K Blu-ray for $30 at Walmart, offering a $25 savings compared to the Limited Edition Steelbook.
Both Amazon and Walmart are offering attractive deals on other films in the Alien franchise, including the Ultimate Collector's Edition of Aliens, which was released on 4K Blu-ray earlier this year, and the Alien: 40th Anniversary Edition on 4K Blu-ray.
The Alien franchise has inspired a variety of merchandise, from art books and novels to comic books and even a Little Golden Book designed to teach kids the alphabet. This educational book is aptly titled A is for Alien: An ABC Book.
