Indo-Canadian singer AP Dhillon reassured his fans on Tuesday that he is unharmed after shots were reportedly fired outside his home in Vancouver. Utilizing Instagram Story, the artist behind the hit Brown Munde shared a message expressing gratitude to those who contacted him to check on his well-being. However, he refrained from providing specifics about the alleged incident. "I'm safe. My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out. Your support means everything (folded hands emoji). Peace and love to all," AP Dhillon wrote.
AP Dhillon gained widespread recognition with his chart-topping hit Brown Munde in 2020. His other notable tracks include Excuses, With You, Toxic, Tere Te, Spaceship, Insane, and True Stories. Most recently, he collaborated with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on the song Old Money, appearing alongside Khan in the music video.
In a related incident, back in April, two individuals on a motorcycle fired shots outside Khan's residence in Mumbai's Bandra area. The arrests that followed uncovered links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting the Mumbai Police to apply the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against those involved. On June 4, a team of four, including a member from the Mumbai Crime Branch, visited Khan's home to gather statements from both Salman and his brother Arbaaz. The brothers were interrogated for a total of six hours. The investigation disclosed that Salman Khan was at home during the shooting and had been awakened by a bullet that struck his balcony. "I went to the balcony to check and looked outside but did not see anyone," he recounted. To date, six suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shooting at Khan's residence.
