As the eagerly awaited Spotify Wrapped approaches, offering users a glimpse into their most played songs, albums, and podcasts of the year, Apple Music Replay has unveiled its list of the top songs for 2024. This feature provides Apple Music subscribers with insights into their listening habits over the past 12 months. The 2024 edition showcases the year-end charts, highlighting the most streamed songs based on Apple Music streams, Shazam tags, read lyrics, and more.

One notable highlight this year is the significant presence of female artists, with 39 of the top global songs being performed by female-identifying artists. Among the most played artists are Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish. Meanwhile, Benson Boone and Teddy Swims have emerged as leaders in the global Shazam chart. However, the most played track on Apple Music in 2024 was Kendrick Lamar’s 'Not Like Us,' a diss track that has kept Drake up at night since its release this summer.

Swift’s expanded edition of her eleventh studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology,' was the most streamed album on the platform this year. Swift also secured the title of most streamed artist. Reacting to the news, Swift shared her gratitude on Instagram: “Ahhhhhh thank you for listening to my music and TTPD so much!!!!” She continued, “You, the fans, made The Tortured Poets Department the TOP STREAMED ALBUM of The Year on @applemusic!!! You guys snagged me that Top Streamed Artist spot too.”
