Apple has unveiled plans to launch the first of several flagship retail stores in Saudi Arabia by 2026, with an online Apple Store set to debut in the Kingdom as early as summer 2025.
For the first time, customers in the country will have access to Apple's entire product range, along with direct service and support in Arabic, according to a company statement. CEO Tim Cook highlighted Apple's commitment to strengthening its ties with Saudi customers and supporting their interests and aspirations.
The expansion will provide multiple avenues for shopping, comparing products, and exploring financing and payment options. Customers will also benefit from personalized service and device setup assistance from Apple's expert team members.
Apple's planned stores in Saudi Arabia will feature a prominent location at Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This move builds on Apple's current investments in the country, including the Apple Developer Academy, which opened in Riyadh in 2021. Located at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, the academy offers training for women in coding, design, and entrepreneurship. Graduates have successfully developed apps for both domestic and international markets, contributing to the nation's burgeoning app economy.
The tech giant has invested over 10 billion SAR with local businesses over the past five years and supports public transit innovations such as Apple Pay.
