The Arab group also engaged in talks with Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organisation, where they underscored the necessity of promptly addressing the needs of the Lebanese population and augmenting humanitarian assistance and medical provisions.
Additionally, Al Musharakh and the Arab ambassadors held discussions with Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). During these talks, they highlighted the critical role that international organisations, particularly the ICRC, must play during this pivotal period. They also stressed the importance of upholding international law and international humanitarian law, ensuring the safety of civilians.
