Meanwhile, the more powerful ROG Ally Z1 Extreme is available for $500 (originally $650) at Best Buy. However, My Best Buy Plus members can purchase it for just $450. If you're not a member, it might be worth signing up, as the membership costs only $50 per year, effectively making the membership free.
The ROG Ally with the Z1 Extreme chip boasts two additional CPU cores and a superior GPU, which can significantly enhance performance in newer, graphically demanding games. This chip is also featured in the latest addition to the Asus handheld PC lineup: the ROG Ally X.
The ROG Ally X offers a substantial performance boost with 24GB of RAM and includes several enhancements such as a 1TB SSD, improved battery life, and upgraded joysticks. However, these premium features come at a cost of $800.
