Bangladesh secured a six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the second Test at Rawalpindi, marking their inaugural Test series win against their South Asian opponents on Tuesday.

On Monday, Bangladesh made a strong start with 42 runs for no loss in seven overs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. However, the play was cut short due to bad light and rain on the penultimate day. In the final Test day, Bangladesh's batters played cautiously, reaching the target with the loss of four wickets. Zakir Hasan led the visitors with a top score of 40, while Mominul Haque contributed 34.

Pakistan had scored 274 in their first innings. In response, Bangladesh managed to recover from a precarious position of 26 for six to score 262 in their first innings. The Bangladesh bowlers then held Pakistan to just 172 all out in the second innings, paving the way for their historic series win on Tuesday.

Bangladesh had previously won the opening Test by 10 wickets on August 25, achieving their first-ever Test victory against Pakistan.
