Bangladesh is set to reinstate broadband internet services on Tuesday evening, as announced by the nation's telecommunications minister in a conversation with AFP. This comes after a five-day period during which internet access was severely limited, significantly impeding the dissemination of information and disrupting the routines of numerous individuals.

"Broadband services will be restored by tonight," stated Junaid Ahmed Palak, although he did not specify a precise time or address the status of mobile internet, which plays a crucial role in communication for protest organizers rallying against employment quotas and has been linked to escalating violence.
