Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina embarked on a journey to India via military helicopter, according to recent reports. Previously, the French news agency AFP had indicated that the Prime Minister's resignation might be imminent, especially given the escalation of violence that has resulted in six additional fatalities. This surge in unrest marks some of the most severe disturbances since Bangladesh's inception over five decades ago. AFP's report, which cites a high-ranking aide, suggests that Hasina's resignation could indeed be on the horizon. However, Reuters has yet to confirm this information. Additionally, Hasina and her sister have been relocated to a secure location, away from their official residence, as per a government source speaking to Reuters.

The situation appears to be highly unstable, as expressed by Law Minister Anisul Huq in a conversation with Reuters: "You see, the situation is very volatile. What is happening, I myself don’t know." In response to the ongoing crisis, student activists have planned a march towards the capital, Dhaka, on Monday. This demonstration is set to occur despite the nationwide curfew, with the intention of compelling Hasina to resign. The previous day saw nearly 100 people lose their lives in widespread violent confrontations across the country.
