Benetti's inaugural 44-metre model from the new "Class" range has been launched in Viareggio and christened Juno's 7. Anticipated delivery is set for February 2025. The vessel was sold by Northrop & Johnson in 2023, mere days after the Italian yachting powerhouse unveiled the flagship model, marking the yard's largest GRP construction to date. Prior to this addition, the Class range included the Motopanfilo 37M, and the new 44-metre model shares some classic design elements with its predecessors.
The exterior and interior design is a creation of Giorgio M. Cassetta, characterized by clean lines and four expansive decks. The interiors are designed to foster a relaxed and informal ambiance, featuring uncluttered spaces and innovative material use. Large, transparent surfaces, such as the mirrors on the hull sides in the main saloon, enhance the sense of brightness by reflecting light and water.
Giorgio M. Cassetta noted, "We focused on countless details, resulting in interiors that are entirely new compared to what we typically see on yachts of this size." Trowelled resin replaces marble in the bathroom surfaces, and eco-friendly, FSC-certified wood is used throughout, with antique elm flooring and striped ash walls.
The yacht's layout is thoughtfully designed with ample storage, making it ideal for extended, secure cruises. It accommodates 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam master suite with an office. Low-profile bulwarks provide unobstructed water views from the main deck lounge, while the upper deck seats 10 around its dining table.
In line with the owner's preference for open spaces and relaxation on open water, the foredeck features a pool furnished with seating and sun loungers, perfect for enjoying panoramic views. The upper deck houses the helm station and an expansive indoor living area that extends outdoors, with an optional VIP cabin. The sundeck offers over 102 square metres of space for dining, sunbathing, or enjoying a drink at the bar.
Additional guest cabins and crew quarters are located on the lower deck. The beach club is a versatile space, and the port-side garage facilitates easy launch and recovery of the tender and water toys. Powered by a pair of MAN units rated at 1,400 HP, the yacht boasts a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,100 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots.
Benetti's sales director, Daniela Petrozzi, remarked, "This is a significant moment for Benetti as the first Class 44M has touched the water. This yacht is our fibreglass flagship, embodying Benetti's excellence and tradition, combined with a modern interpretation, thanks to the meticulous work of Cassetta Yacht Designers, who have skillfully renewed the external lines and reinterpreted the interior style."
This launch follows the sale of the first Benetti B.Yond 57M superyacht in October, just weeks after its official presentation at the Monaco Yacht Show.
