Rise of the Ronin, the newest action-RPG from Team Ninja, is now available for just $40 at Best Buy. This $30 markdown is valid only until the end of the day (October 29), and considering the previous lowest price was $50—and that was uncommon—it wouldn't be surprising if it sells out before the deadline. Rise of the Ronin is a high-speed action game set in a crucial period of Japanese history. As an external agent, you'll encounter real historical figures, engage in occasional battles with them, and play a role in shaping Japan's transition into a new era. Similar to other Team Ninja titles, Rise of the Ronin features Souls-like combat, but it's surprisingly accessible and gratifying once you master the art of wielding various weapons.
"While not without its imperfections, I found that Rise of the Ronin left me with much more to explore even after 50 hours of play, prompting me to return to uncover what I missed and attempt to alter history," Phil Hornshaw noted in GameSpot's review of Rise of the Ronin.
