Dubai property developer Binghatti has partnered with Dubai Design District (d3), a global creative hub and a subsidiary of TECOM Group PJSC, and the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (DCAA) to introduce a lucrative architectural photography contest for creatives worldwide. The global 200/20 competition, with a total prize pool of Dh2 million (approximately $544,528), is designed to support the creative community and honor exceptional technical skills and innovation. The contest will span from September 2024 to March 2025, culminating in a grand awards ceremony in Dubai where 20 photographers will be recognized.
Participants will compete for an array of prestigious prizes, including a luxurious apartment in one of Binghatti’s developments, an exclusive collection of high-end products from Binghatti partners, such as a Mercedes-Benz car and a Jacob&Co timepiece. Winners will also be featured in Binghatti’s publication, enhancing their visibility among a targeted audience. The competition will be overseen by a distinguished panel of judges comprising Binghatti’s Chairman Muhammad BinGhatti, celebrated Emirati photographer Ali Eissa, Senior Vice President of (d3) Khadijah Al Bastaki, Emirati photographer and forensic expert Jassim Al Awadhi, and world-renowned art photographer and film producer Artem Shestakov. The panel will assess entries over the 200-day competition period based on creativity, composition, technical skill, and emotional impact, ultimately selecting 20 winners.

Throughout the competition, (d3) will organize expert-led photography workshops to assist artists in refining their technical skills for capturing striking architectural photography. Renowned architects from (d3) will also conduct insightful panel discussions to enhance awareness and knowledge about the design sector, emphasizing Dubai’s burgeoning and globally recognized architectural landscape.
