BioWare is commemorating Dragon Age Day with a series of surprises for fans, focusing on the recently launched Dragon Age: The Veilguard, while also honoring the franchise's legacy. A standalone version of The Veilguard's character creator and a complimentary armor set inspired by Dragon Age II are now accessible. Later today, the game will receive a new update, and you can review the complete patch notes for Patch 4 below, which introduces a new tool for capturing photos during cutscenes, over 20 bug fixes, and fresh Qunari complexions. Dragon Age Day was established by the game's community to provide Dragon Age with its own version of N7 Day, the celebration dedicated to BioWare's space epic series, Mass Effect. The most significant gift for players is a standalone, free version of the game's character creator. For those who haven't yet delved into Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you can now create a Rook or Inquisitor before purchasing the full game and transferring your character. Ensure you're on the same platform as the creator. Additionally, the addition of Dragon Age II protagonist Hawke's armor, body paint, and nose blood smear as free cosmetics for your character will be available. These cosmetics are a permanent feature and can be found in the Lighthouse after downloading Patch 4 and completing The Singing Blade mission. In terms of community engagement, since Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been available for over a month, developers will initiate an AMA on the Dragon Age subreddit starting at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET today, December 4. Previous AMAs were hosted on the BioWare Discord, so players interested in reviewing past questions and answers before joining today’s session should head there.
