The Hobbit Illustrated Edition is currently enjoying a significant discount for Black Friday at Amazon, with the price now reduced to just $27.50. Originally published last year with a $75 MSRP, this book usually sells for around $40. Interestingly, before this deal, The Hobbit Illustrated Edition had never been priced below $35, let alone $30. Given the history of Black Friday (and Prime Day) deals on popular editions of J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novels, it's likely that this offer won't last long.
Amazon has also reduced the price of The Hobbit Trilogy on 4K Blu-ray to $40 (down from $90). This 4K collection includes both the theatrical and extended cuts of Peter Jackson's trilogy. You can also pair this with Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy on 4K for $55 (originally $90).
Another book in the Tolkien Illustrated Series, The Silmarillion, is also on sale. This posthumously published collection of Middle-earth stories is now available for $40 (down from $75) and is eligible for Amazon's Buy Two, Get One Free Black Friday promotion on books and Blu-rays.
