Several Call of Duty: Black Ops titles have featured multiple endings over the years, but Black Ops 6 will break from this trend. Associate creative director Jon Zuk confirmed this in a recent interview, stating, "Black Ops 6 is a linear story, so there is not a branching ending for this one." Although the overall narrative of Black Ops 6 has a singular conclusion, some missions will offer players the choice in how they complete objectives.
Lead narrative producer Natalie Pohorski explained, "Some of the missions have those options of like, 'Okay, these are the objectives,' and then you can kind of get the lay of the land and choose which one you want to tackle first." She added, "If you want to go in hot or stealthy, there's options for that too. So it kind of depends on the mission, but I think that's where some of the replayability comes in with the political gala. This time you want to blackmail the senator, or this time you want to hack into a silent auction."
Regarding the campaign length, Activision previously mentioned that Black Ops 6 should be as lengthy as expected from a Call of Duty campaign. IGN reported that Black Ops 6's campaign is longer than Black Ops Cold War's, though individual playtimes may vary.
Black Ops 6 is set to launch on October 25 and will be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from the start. The game will also be purchasable on all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. For more details, check out GameSpot's guide to Black Ops 6's preloading and launch times.
